Choose parking for the whole trip
GRB publishes a $9 daily maximum and $45 weekly rate for its long-term lot. Check the tariff and payment rules for stays that do not align with a full week. The walk to the terminal may suit travelers whose return falls outside an off-airport shuttle’s hours.
GRB’s terminal lots offer a walk to the building, while a hotel or other off-airport parking reservation may use a shuttle. A lower parking quote should be weighed against transfer hours and the number of travelers and bags.
An extended stay can make the overall difference between options more noticeable, but the cheapest initial rate is not always the lowest complete cost. Include transport to and from the terminal, service hours and your likely return time.
Set realistic arrival and return times
Start the reservation early enough to check in at the lot, unload bags and reach the terminal before your airline’s recommended check-in time. Add time after landing for baggage reclaim, shuttle contact and the return ride. Use local airport times when entering dates.
If the return flight is delayed, contact the parking provider using the confirmation details. Ask how extra time is charged and whether the shuttle will still be operating. Do not assume a grace period.
Prepare your vehicle for a longer stay
- Check the lot’s maximum stay and whether advance notice is needed.
- Remove valuables from view and keep the parking confirmation accessible.
- Record the bay, row or parking zone so you can find the vehicle on return.
- Ask about vehicle height, oversized vehicles, EV charging and any rules for leaving keys.
- For outdoor parking, allow time for the conditions on the day you return.
Keep your car key with your travel essentials unless the booked service explicitly requires it to be left with staff. A self-parking booking does not automatically include vehicle charging, maintenance or washing.
Would an airport hotel help?
An overnight stay can make a very early departure easier. Compare a confirmed park-and-fly package with booking a room and parking separately. Guest parking during a hotel stay is a different permission from leaving the car while flying.
